August 14, 2017

It's both positive AND patriotic! Also, we call Jordan while he's on "patrol"! He and Alan don't want to let go.

Chase demonstrates more of his voice acting abilities. He's known locally for his Grinch impersonation! Jerome does Hank Hill...it's very good. Alan talks about doing his best Samuel L. On this episode, there's a lot of "music talk"...favorite artists; artists you're supposed to like, but don't; favorite/worst concerts. Emilee talks about slinging "merch" and talking Apple Watches with Tim Hawkins. Chase makes a funny which creates a "spit take" from Alan...launching root beer across the room! And, Alan tells the story of Smashmouth playing for a private party he was at (his Cajun buddy kept calling them Smash-mout and insisting they sing their hit "Chinese Chicken"...Google and you'll get the joke)

June 28, 2017
We're back!!! Thanks for your patience!
Alan, Chase and Fro are joined by Alan's eldest daughter, Emilee. On this episode, Fro (Jeffrey) tells us about his new job and his "desktop". Chase apparently has a ghost which may be the most boring ghost ever! Emilee helps Alan tell a very long, but very entertaining story of a 10 day RV trip their family took which may have scarred the Nolte family for life.
Also, Fro may be in for a special surprise come "Proctober", Chase tells of his and Jordan's road trip to Dallas. And Alan tells of his unfortunate ride to Dallas which he is thrilled to have "behind" him (pun intended)!

Geoffrey Orr - Avenging Being Cut, 94mph Tuba Player, Buzzing The Tower, Batting Practice With Neon Deion
May 22, 2017
Alan, Jeffery, Jordan, and Chase welcome a local celebrity, baseball player Geoffrey Orr. On this episode, Geoffrey discusses being cut from our local university, rebuilding the program at UAM with 8 players and a 6'11" tuba player, the feeling of reaching the pro level and how easy it is for him to throw up.

We hear about playing in an alumni game in which he wasn't an alumni and why the pitcher "buzzed his tower"! Geoffrey tells us about his "hate/love" relationship with legendary college baseball coach Steve Goodheart and his experience at open tryouts with the Atlanta Braves at Grambling University. We listen as he tells story after story of his heading to Idaho Falls, ID, The Slump, rooming with Chipper Jones, meeting Jane Fonda, Halle Berry and Hank Aaron. Geoffrey tells us about being mentioned in Chipper's new auto-biography on page 81 revealing how he introduced Chipper to his first ex-wife. He also relays a funny story about taking batting practice with Primetime, Neon Deion Sanders and watching him in a foot race with a Dominican while wearing "...about 7lbs of gold around me his neck". He reveals the feeling of finding out his career is ending while in Macon, GA ("I never saw it coming"). We review the article written about Geoffrey called "The Greatest 21 Days".

Finally, we have to let Jeffrey know that his own wife, Amanda, is championship-winning clogger! Geoffrey has his fire rekindled with slow pitch softball. He gives his opinion on making the pros then versus today and his respect for girls fastpitch softball! Poor Chase can't escape the "nose" jokes as they come at "rapid-fire" pace. Jeffrey thinks Facebook Live is the same as the video camera on his iPhone. Alan expresses his love for the S-Town podcast!

We also reveal our "iTunes Review" t-shirt winner for this episode. But, the winner doesn't provide mailing info! If you know "Thelawnranger1985", please let us know!
And special STF™ Breaking News: Jeffrey has a new job!

On this episode, Ernie pitches his designer cat litter to Alan on a version of STF™ Tank, Chase says backstory 174 times, Jordan and Alan field a call from a Uber-fan, Ms. Nelda Beene. But, she is apparently infatuated with Jeffrey.
Also on this episode, we discuss

Jerome Erskin - The Nokia 3310 Is Back, First Cellphones and Cars, ITunes Review Winner, Babe Ruth on Steroids, Russian Reality TV, Butt Whoopings
May 1, 2017
Alan, Jordan, Chase and Jeffrey welcome special guest-host Jerome Erskin. Jerome is our first listener to make it on the show with the crew! This is the first episode using our new format and some new equipment...and it shows after recording the longest intro in podcast history (mercifully edited by @Aaron_Willis). Jerome works for the power company. But, irony slaps us in the face when we suddenly lose power and Jerome simply says, "Uh, the lights are still on."  But, he does work for a utility company, so...(But, he was right. Diagnosis: Emilee stepped on our powerstrip).
We discuss the return of the Nokia 3310 cellphone. This leads to discussing our first cellphones and first vehicles. We reveal our first "iTunes Review" winner! This month it was "Beefy402" from the Fork Found Reviews Podcast.  Jeffrey's upset that everyone has a STF™ but him.  It's NCAA Bracket time (yes, this podcast is now dated and Jeffrey ends up being a prophet) and the guys talk about their picks. Jordan ain't in to it.
"March Madness" talk turns into debating steriod use. We also talk about high school fastpitch softball and Russian Reality TV. Amongst all this, a geography fight breaks out when Jeffrey is challenged to name a state capital. And the crew reveals to Alan that they never read my texts due to length and should be compiled into a novel.

So, as always, if you like listening to country folks talking about whatever, then this is your podcast. Give it a listen, and don't forget to leave a 5-star review on iTunes to be our STF™ ITunes Review contest. Believe it or not, it helps!
